Our data protection principles

CIS Solutions takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We want you to know which data we store, when and how we use it. We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that we and our service providers comply with the data protection regulations. Our data protection procedures are in conformity with the Privacy Protection law of 08 Dec 1992, law of 13 Jun 2005 and the law of 11 Mar 2003.
Further development of our website and the implementation of new technology to improve our services may result in changes to this privacy policy. We therefore recommend that you reread this privacy policy at regular intervals.

1. What is personal data?

Personal data is information which can be used to find out details about your personal or financial situation. Information which cannot (unless a disproportionate effort is made) be used to establish a link to you, e.g. by the use of pseudonyms or by making information anonymous, is not regarded as personal data.

2. Which data do we store and use?

You can use some of our online services without giving any information about your identity. However if you want to join our community, our forums or affiliate programs, if you want to use particular personal services such as wish list, or if you want to place an order, we will ask you for your name and other personal information. This may also apply if you want to participate in one of our competitions and your data is needed to inform you if you have won or to ensure that you get your prize. You can decide yourself whether or not to provide this data. However, without it, we cannot offer you the service you require or the service may be available only to a limited extent.
In the process of retrieving your desired information our servers store data for service delivery or security purposes, which may enable you to be identified (for example IP address, date, time and pages visited). This is deleted as soon as it is not longer needed.

CIS Solutions’ websites, advertisements, emails, and online services may use certain automatic data collection technologies such as cookies, web beacons, and pixel tags to collect data, including personal information, about you while you use our website, our products, and when you interact with us. Collection of user data helps us to understand our users’ behavior, web searches, and where on our websites users have visited.

Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website, helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website, and allows us to improve our website. A cookie is a piece of information that is stored on your computer’s hard drive by your web browser. When you visit www.cis-solutions.be (or any of the CIS Solutions websites), our server recognizes the cookie, giving us information about your last visit to the website.

If you choose not to use cookies, you may experience limited functionality of our website. This Data Privacy Policy only covers CIS Solutions’ use of cookies and does not cover the use of any propensity management by advertisers. CIS Solutions complies with global regulations including the EU Cookie Directive. Visitors to our websites are advised of our use of cookies upon landing on our website.

4. Privacy and Web Tracking

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analyzing service by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "Cookies", small text files that are stored on your PC System and allow for analyzing how you are using the website. The data created by the Cookie contains info on how you use the website and will usually be transferred to one of Google´s servers in the USA and stored there. In case the IP anonymization is activated on this website your IP address will be truncated within EU member states or other members of the treaty on the European Economic Area first. Only in rare and exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA first and truncated there. Commissoned by the operator of this website Google will use this information to analyze how this website is used in order to issue reports on the website activities and to provide additional services to the operator of the website in regard to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser through the Google Analytics service will not be combined with other Google data. You can avoid the storage and usage of Cookies through the respective browser settings. Please keep in mind however that in that case you may not be able to use all features of this website fully. 5. Use of Social Plugins

Our Web appearance uses Social Plugins ("Plugins") by the social network google.com, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The plugin is marked with the respective logo (Google+: blue "+1" on grey background) or with an annotated "Google +1 Plugin".

When you access a page of our web appearence that contains such plugins your browser will connect to the servers of Facebook and/or google. The content of the plugin will be relayed directly to your browser and integrated into the website. Thus we have no influence on the extent of data collected by Facebook and Google. Hereby we inform you to the best of our current knowledge: Through the integration of the plugins Facebook and Google receive the info that you have accessed the respective page of our web appearence. If your are logged in to Facebook and/or Google they can correlate your visit to your Facebook or Google+ account respectively. If you interact with the plugins - for example by clicking the "Like" button or by adding a comment - the respective data will be transmitted directly to Facebook or Google by your browser and stored there. If you´re not a Facebook or Google member, it is still possible that Facebook learns your IP address and stores it.

If you are a Facebook and/or Google member and don´t want Facebook and/or Google to collect data on you through our web appearence and to connect them to your Facebook and/or Google member data please log out from Facebook and/or Google prior to visiting our website.

It is also possible to block Facebook Social Plugins with add-ons for your browser, for example the "Facebook Blocker".

6. What does CIS Solutions do with your data?

We store and use your personal data including your residential address and your e-mail address exclusively for handling your orders and for return deliveries. Your IP address will be stored in the course of an order only in case of a legitimate interest. Your e-mail address is only used for correspondence regarding your orders and – if you do not object – for our customer relationship management and to send you our newsletters if you wish. Information is retrieved and used pseudonymously to manage and optimize product offers and sales promotions on our website. However, we reserve the right to carry out statistical evaluations of pseudonymous and anonymous data records. IP-logs for example are stored for system security reasons (to prevent misuse), to improve our website and for statistical purposes (number of users and number of pages visited).
Apart from the above, your data will be only processed and used for other purposes if you agree explicitly to the intended use, e.g. if you wish to participate in our competitions or join our bonus and affiliate programs.

7. Do we pass on your data to third parties?

To comply with legal requirements, we are obliged in certain cases to forward your personal data to third parties. This is the case, for example, if there is suspicion of a criminal offense or misuse of our website. In this case we are obliged to forward your data to the law enforcement agency. Otherwise your data is stored solely in our database and on our servers. This does not apply to our service partners who require data for order handling such as B-Post (Belgian Postal Services), DHL or our banks. In these cases personal data is transferred in compliance with the statutory regulations of the Privacy Protecting law of 8 december 1992, the law on e-commerce and the Royal Decree of 4 april 2003 regarding personal data. The amount of data transferred is limited to the minimum required.

8. Protection of minors

Persons under the age of 18 years should not transfer any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or guardian. We do not request personal data from children and teenagers. We do not consciously collect any such data or transfer it to third parties.

9. Security measures for the protection of data stored by us

Any data which we collect from you is normally stored on servers within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) which are especially protected. Only a few persons who are responsible for the technical, commercial or editorial administration are authorized to access these servers.
However it may be possible that the data we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the
European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who
work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment
of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By
submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps
reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy
policy.

To avoid any loss or misuse of data stored at CIS Solutions, we take extensive technical and internal security precautions which are reviewed on a regular basis and updated in line with technical progress.

However we wish to point out that the rules of data protection and the above mentioned security measures may be violated by persons or institutions beyond the scope of our responsibility due to the structure of the internet. In particular data which is sent unencrypted including via e-mail – can be read by third parties. We do not have any technical influence on such actions. The user himself is responsible for protecting any data provided against misuse by means of encryption or any other method.

Our online sevice contains links to other websites. We have no influence on whether these providers comply with the data protection regulations.

10. Your right to information, rectification, blocking or deletion of personal data

Under the Privacy Protecting law of 8 december 1992, the law on e-commerce and the Royal Decree of 4 april 2003 regarding personal data, you always have the right to information as well as the right to rectification, blocking and deletion of your personal data. If deletion conflicts with any legal, contractual, commercial or fiscal record retention periods or with any other legally binding reasons, the data must be blocked instead of deleted.
Any request to access information may be subject to a fee of €10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

11. Right to be Forgotten

CIS Solutions is committed to taking reasonable steps to ensure that any Personal Information requests to be forgotten can be erased with our existing technology will be done so in a reasonable time of the request. However, this doesn’t apply to information that you have made public by posting on our forums, blogs, or have made available to third parties yourself, this is beyond the reach of what CIS Solutions can erase. CIS Solutions will do everything possible to erase your Personal Information if you withdraw your consent (opt out) from receiving information for us and request the right to be forgotten. However, CIS Solutions will not be able to erase all of your Personal Information if it is technically impossible due to limitations to existing technology, or for legal or fiscal reasons.

12. Revoking your consent

Where applicable you have explicitely given your consent to the following. We´d like to point out that you can revoke your consent at any time, effective immediately and for the future.
